About Alan Alan grew up in Roanoke, Virginia before going off to college at Virginia Tech. He graduated in Accounting at Virginia Tech and moved to Richmond in 1981. He worked for both the State of Virginia and Dominion Power before going into Real Estate full time in 1995. He also received a Master of Science in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
